Newcastle release spinetingling footage of away win at Brentford

Newcastle United fans are still buzzing about last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Brentford. It was a fantastic performance from the Magpies, extending our unbeaten run to seven games.

It was the perfect away performance from Eddie Howe’s side, even if they were aided by an early red card for the Bees.

But Newcastle still had a job to do against 10 men, and they did it brilliantly. Goals came from Joelinton and Joe Willock. The first was hugely popular in the away end, and the second represented a true return to goalscoring form for last season’s hero.

The win moved the Magpies up to 14th in the league, and it also helped earn Howe and Ryan Fraser nominations for manager and player of the month.

It was a fantastic afternoon for Toon fans, and they can relive it from a different angle on the club’s official YouTube channel.

After every game, the club release additional highlights. They’re filmed on a different camera, normally on ground level from one of the corners of the stadium.

For the trip to Brentford, Newcastle’s camera was situated right in front of the away end, ensuring they can be heard loud and proud throughout the video.

Whenever Newcastle win, the additional footage is fantastic to watch. In the Brentford video, the highlight has to be Joelinton’s celebration.

You can see just how far he ran to celebrate in front of the supporters. The roar when he finds the net is incredible, and there’s another huge cheer when he raises his arms in delight in front of the travelling Toon Army.

The video also shows how comfortable Newcastle were at times. The fans were ole-ing each pass as we dominated possession, which is far from a regular occurrence.

And at the end of the video, you see the appreciation of the players to the fans, as they soak up the adulation from the away end.

‘E, I, E, I, E, I, O, up the Premier League we go’ was belted out by supporters, who witnessed Newcastle go seven unbeaten and move even further away from relegation danger.
