Newcastle United are looking to bounce back when they return to Champions League action at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise this week.
It was an agonising weekend for Newcastle United, as they conceded twice late on to lose 2-1 to Arsenal after leading for much of the game thanks to Nick Woltemade’s header.
Eddie Howe watched on in despair as his side turned three points into zero after starting the game brightly, which is similar to how their opening Champions League game went.
Newcastle took the game to Barcelona at St. James’ Park, but failed to take their chances before Marcus Rashford scored a brilliant brace to condemn the Magpies to defeat.
Three points in Europe are needed as Newcastle head to Brussels, Belgium, to take on Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

Union SG vs Newcastle team news
Newcastle were hit with a hammer blow on Sunday as star full-back Tino Livramento was stretchered off with what appeared to be a serious knee injury.
Howe will likely give a clearer prognosis in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, but the signs do not look promising.
Meanwhile, Newcastle continue to be without Jacob Ramsey and Yoane Wissa, too, while Lewis Hall’s fitness levels remain unclear, but Fabian Schar could return after his concussion.

Union SG vs Newcastle prediction
Unlike Newcastle, Union SG got their Champions League campaign off to a flying start, smashing PSV Eindhoven 3-1 in the Netherlands.
The Dutch side’s goal was only a late consolation, too, so the Belgian champions will be no pushovers in the slightest in their first home Champions League game. It’s a match Newcastle may find tough.
Prediction: Union SG 2-2 Newcastle.
