Newcastle United’s William Osula scored his first Premier League goal against Ipswich on Saturday.
It was imperative that Newcastle United got back to winning ways in the Premier League after last weekend’s loss at Aston Villa.
As expected, that’s exactly what they did.
Newcastle beat Ipswich 3-0, moving back into third in the Premier League table and continuing their pursuit of a second Champions League qualification in three years.
Osula scored the third after Alexander Isak had opened the scoring and Dan Burn had doubled the advantage for Eddie Howe‘s side.

It was a fine header from the forward and his first strike in the Premier League altogether.
Naturally, many of his teammates and friends in football alike were delighted for the 21-year-old.
Reported transfer target Anthony Elanga was one of them.

Newcastle remain interested in signing Elanga, who they failed to land from Nottingham Forest last summer.
The Sweden star frequently comments on Osula’s Instagram posts and Saturday’s one proved no different.
After the full-time whistle, Osula took to the social media platform to caption a collage of himself in action: “GOD has answered. First @premierleague goal. Love you all Toon Army. W’sss in the chat.”
In reaction, Elanga responded with: “W’s in the chaaaaaa.”
That is a phrase Osula has been seen and heard saying on both social media and in club interviews this season.

While his long-term future remains up for debate, Howe believes Osula’s goal can represent a turning point in his Newcastle career.
Whether or not it’s enough to see him called upon more regularly now remains to be seen.
However, it could not have harmed his chances for the run-in…
