Newcastle United’s chances of signing James Trafford any time soon have been made harder by Manchester City’s interest in Tino Livramento.
Geordie Boot Boys understands that Manchester City are interested in signing Livramento from Newcastle, while they have also previously expressed an interest in Bruno Guimaraes.

Why missing out on James Trafford could be a good thing for Newcastle over Tino Livramento

Clearly, other clubs could come in for the 23-year-old, but at least keeping City at bay would be a start to batting off the interest.
If not signing Trafford means keeping Livramento amid some difficult relations with City, then it may be a necessary step.
