Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has suggested Matty Longstaff will soon be leaving the club on loan.
The 60-year-old spoke to the press this morning, with one week to go in the transfer window.

It seems that there is unlikely to be many, if any, incomings.
Bruce was asked about the possibility of Hamza Choudhury coming in on loan, to which he replied that it would be ‘unfair’ to mention other players.
But one deal that is looking quite likely to happen now is Longstaff leaving on loan.
Bruce said (via Northern Echo): “It’s (a loan) something that we’ve decided might be best for Matty. I’ve had that conversation with him.

“We’ll see in the next week, but we’ve had one or two inquiries. We’re hoping something will happen with him in the next couple of days.”
Longstaff was reported last week to be set to sign a new contract with the club before heading out.
A big season for Longstaff
2021/22 really is a big season in Longstaff’s fledgling career.
His development was really slowed last term as a result of Bruce continuously overlooking him.

Wherever he heads, it is paramount that he gets regular minutes.
Newcastle must ensure they facilitate the right move for a player with exciting potential.
