‘Special’ Newcastle target shares message suggesting his current price-tag, would be a bargain

Newcastle United target Mykhaylo Mudryk has shared a post on his Instagram story which indicates that his current transfer value is £34.4m.

The Magpies have long been in the running to sign the 21-year-old, who has also been linked with Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mail back in September, the Toon were preparing a £50m offer ahead of the January window.

However, according to Shakhtar Donestk chief Darijo Srna, that amount wouldn’t be enough.

The Ukraine international told SportArena that he was upset by this, with the club demanding £86m for their prized asset. He claimed he was being priced out of a potential move, with it being his goal to leave in the winter window.

Following this initial worry, Mudryk has now taken to Instagram to share a post by Transfermarkt, which suggests his current transfer value is 34.4m.

Mudryk believes he’s worth £34m

When compared with the outrageous £86m, this price-tag is much more attainable. Mudryk clearly knows this himself, as he was doubting whether any side would come in for him at this extortionate figure.

However, with some of the praise the youngster has received, you would think clubs would be snatching Shakhtar’s hands off.

Srna has claimed he is the best player in Europe in his position behind Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Vinicius Jr, whereas GOAL’s official Twitter account hailed him as a player who has that ‘special something’.

Eddie Howe is currently searching for a winger to bring to St James’ Park. With his incredible dribbling and rapid pace, Mudryk certainly fits the mould.

Having impressed in the Champions League this term, the 21-year-old has proven he can perform at the highest level.

Therefore, if the £34m valuation is deemed more realistic, we could see Newcastle make a move to sign him in January – as this could end up being an absolute bargain.
