Newcastle United could potentially be set to swap Isaac Hayden for Mario Lemina.
The Daily Mail has claimed the Saints are now in talks with the Magpies midfielder.

The south coast side are looking to move the 27-year-old on this summer.
Supposedly he has lots of suitors according to Le10 Sport, who yesterday claimed Nice had slapped in a bid.
Southampton are said to want to add a bit more power to their midfield.
Newcastle value Hayden at around £10-12 million.
Given that valuation, a swap deal would entail Southampton offering Lemina plus cash for Hayden.

Lemina is supposedly valued at around £4 million.
It remains to be seen if anything will come to fruition.
On Sunday, when news of Southampton’s interest in Hayden broke, the player took to Instagram to mark his five-year anniversary at the club.
It was a timely post, with Hayden expressing his excitment for the new season.
Newcastle shouldn’t be looking to lose Hayden
Lemina would be a great addition for Newcastle.
But he should not be brought in if it is going to mean losing Hayden.

Hayden is very underrated and does some extremely selfless work in the Toon midfield.
He is also a credit to the club and hugely popular with the fans.
Newcastle need players like that at the club – to lose him for Lemina would be a questionable decision.
