Newcastle United are reportedly set to miss out on Swansea City’s Matt Grimes.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old is set to be sold to Fulham.

He is due to undergo a medical with the Cottagers next week.
The Mail say that the move comes at Newcastle’s expense, with the Magpies having monitored Grimes along with Southampton.
That said, BBC Sport Wales are reporting Swansea value their man at around £5 million.
There is no word on how much Grimes will depart for.

But the decision by Swansea is thought to be one of the contributing factors to Steve Cooper leaving the club last week.
Grimes is considered one of the Championship’s most consistent performers, and many Fulham fans are excited by news of his impending transfer.
Another one bites the dust for Newcastle
But it seems Grimes will not be someone that comes in as part of a reform.
There are now only 18 days to go until the new Premier League season starts.

Newcastle are yet to bring in a single new face this summer.
The club need to make tracks very soon; preferably Joe Willock will be the first incoming.
