Newcastle United are reportedly considering making a fresh move for Marseille star Boubacar Kamara.
According to Il Milanista, the Magpies are in the frame to sign to the 21-year-old, who is seemingly unlikely at this point to sign a new contract.
Il Milanista are reporting the news because AC Milan are another side keen on him.
Kamara’s stance is a blow for Marseille. They could well now be forced to sell for much less than they would like in January.
There is also a chance their could lose him for free.
Lazio and RB Leipzig are also mentioned by the report.
Kamara, of course, is a name that many Newcastle fans will already be familiar with.
The star, who play in midfield or defence, was heavily linked with a move to the club on transfer deadline day in the summer.
A move did not materialise, with Kamara reportedly rejecting a loan approach from the Magpies.
With Newcastle obviously now having been taken over, one wonders if Kamara would be tempted to make a move.
Kamara would still be a great signing
Newcastle may now be mega-rich and able to set their sights ‘higher’, but Kamara would still be a great addition.
He is a real talent. GFFN recently penned a feature piece on him stating that he has been shining under Jorge Sampaoli this term.
He has also been handed the captain’s armband.
Players with experience should perhaps be the focus for Newcastle’s new owners in January, but there is no denying Kamara is a real gem.
