Newcastle United have been tentatively linked with signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, and a new report claims that he would consider an offer from the Magpies if one came his way.

In a fantasy world, the 19-year-old would be a lot of fans’ dream signing. He already looks like a world class footballer, and is only going to get better the more he develops.

Callum Wilson recently stated that he would love to play alongside the midfielder at St James’ Park, but admitted that Bellingham is a level above where the Magpies are right now.

However, Bild in Germany (via Sport Witness) recently reported that Newcastle are going to try and force themselves into the race to sign the Dortmund superstar.

He looks likely to leave the Signal Iduna Park in the summer, with the world’s biggest clubs eyeing up his signature.

Reports in Germany suggest that Newcastle could also be involved in the upcoming transfer tussle, and now a new report has suggested that Bellingham would at least consider a move to St James’ Park.

Jude Bellingham would consider Newcastle offer

According to 90min, Bellingham would consider any offer that comes his way – including one from Newcastle.

Eddie Howe’s side are involved in the list of interested clubs, but 90min add that the admiring glances from the Magpies, PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea are yet to materialise into talks.

While Bellingham may be polite enough to consider an approach from Newcastle, there is surely no way he would accept an offer to move to the North East.

We might be a club on the up, and could be able to offer Champions League football, but Bellingham is going to have the best of the best offering him the world.

The frontrunners appear to be Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool. While the two English clubs have major issues right now, there is surely no chance we can compete with Los Blancos.

There is also the possibility of Bellingham staying where he is, with 90min stating that Dortmund plan to offer the teenager a new contract.

If he does move clubs, it is going to be for a huge fee. Put simply, Newcastle would have to absolutely smash their transfer record. Our most expensive signing is currently Alexander Isak, who cost £63million last summer.

A deal for Bellingham could be worth double that amount, with the Daily Mail reporting last year that Dortmund will demand a fee of £130million.
