Galatasaray have reportedly now made an offer for Newcastle United full-back DeAndre Yedlin.
ESPN are reporting the USA international is wanted by the Turkish giants and that they have put forth a three-and-a-half-year deal to the player.
Yedlin’s preference, ESPN say, has been to extend his contract at St. James’ Park, but the 27-year-old is apparently considering Gala’s offer.

Yedlin’s current contract with Newcastle expires in the summer, and there has been no word on an offer of an extension from the club.
The former Tottenham Hotspur player broke back into the starting XI a couple of months ago, but has missed the past three games due to a work permit issue.
He has actually been one of Newcastle’s better performers, but it looks like his time in the north east could be coming to an end.

It remains to be seen if Yedlin – who cost Newcastle a reported £5 million (Daily Mail) will accept Gala’s offer, but it would be no surprise at this point if he departed.
The player spoke of his frustration at the lack of clarity about his immediate future, which could push him to the Super Lig side.
It was also recently reported by SBI Soccer that an unnamed MLS side were interested in the star.
Yedlin on the brink?
If Gala have indeed lodged an offer for Yedlin, then it would be no surprise if he went.

With Newcastle hurtling towards a relegation battle, it would be very easy for Yedlin to jump ship now, especially given his contract situation.
And that would be a blow for Newcastle given the form he had been showing before his work permit issues.
