Things are hotting up in the pursuit of Karl Darlow with the Newcastle United man now eyed by four clubs, one of which plays in the Premier League.
It looks like Karl Darlow could now be given the opportunity to stay in the Premier League with AFC Bournemouth reportedly keen on the 32-year-old.
Journalist Alan Nixon has revealed on his Patreon (via Football League World) that Bournemouth have joined Blackburn, Middlesbrough and Hull City in the chase for Darlow’s signature after sharing that Blackburn had an interest last week.
Darlow could now stay in the Premier League with Bournemouth
It certainly looks inevitable that Darlow will be leaving Newcastle permanently this summer after spending the latter half of last season on loan at Hull City, who are keen to see him join permanently.
From an outside point of view there appears to be a difficult choice ahead of Darlow. Middlesbrough are flirting with promotion to the Premier League under Michael Carrick and they’re just down the road meaning he wouldn’t have to move too far away.

He enjoyed his time at Hull last season and he is obviously familiar with the staff and players so that could ease the transition.
AFC Bournemouth are in the Premier League so Darlow could move on and retain his status as a top flight footballer.
Newcastle fans will not forget Karl Darlow when he moves on
The only one that doesn’t seem to have any glaring positives is Blackburn as an outsider.

It’s believed that it would take just £5million to secure Darlow’s services this summer.
Wherever Darlow does end up this summer he will not be forgotten by the Newcastle fanbase for sticking with the club for nearly nine years despite never being first-choice. He always had the talent to make that spot his own but luck was never on his side.
