Liverpool had been keeping a close eye on Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch but just as their interest has cooled Bayern Munich could make him available for loan which could interest Newcastle United.
Newcastle have shown some interest in the 21-year-old Dutch midfielder as they’d become aware of Ryan Gravenberch being unsettled at Bayern Munich.
Bayern only signed Gravenberch last summer for €18.5million (£15.8million) and the youngster has found it difficult to break into the starting eleven under both Julian Naglesmann and Thomas Tuchel which is why Kicker say he could be loaned out next season.
Ryan Gravenberch hardly kicked a ball for Bayern Munich last season
It’s hardly surprising he’s found his time limited given Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka are the players keeping him out of the side. However that’s not stopped Gravenberch feeling aggreived.
In June it was reported that Newcastle had made a £43million approach for Gravenberch in order to jump the queue this summer, but clearly nothing came of it.

Similarly, Liverpool have been linked with a move but their interest has died down, despite Fabrizio Romano claiming he’d be a ‘perfect‘ signing for them.
Now it remains to be seen if either side would be interest in a loan move for Gravenberch to free him from his Bayern nightmare on a short-term basis.
Despite being a new signing and Rafael Van der Vaart saying he’s ‘better than Jude Bellingham‘, Gravenberch made just three starts for Bayern and amassed just 559 minutes of playing time over his 24 Bundesliga appearances. It’s no wonder the lad is unsettled.
A loan to Newcastle might not make a lot of sense for Gravenberch
Newcastle could certainly do with a player of Gravenberch’s talents, and while he’d likely get more than 560 minutes of game time, I’m not sure, with our stacked midfield, that he’d get as much playing time as he’s looking for.

I’d argue the same goes for Liverpool too. If Gravenberch is going for a loan move to get minutes, then I don’t see Liverpool or Newcastle working out for him in that regard.
As good as a player as he is, and the potential he has, a loan could end up being a wasteful move without being given assurances of game time.
