Newcastle United are going to come up against a player they want to sign after the international break.
The Magpies have started their Champions League campaign strongly, picking up four points out of six despite being in the ‘group of death’.
Eddie Howe‘s side recorded a famous win over PSG in their last European game, and next to face the Magpies will be Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga giants head to Tyneside later this month, as they prepare to face Newcastle United at St James’ Park on October 25th. It will be another special night for Toon fans, and a chance for the Geordie recruitment team to get a closer look at a young player they are interested in signing.
Newcastle and Arsenal interested in Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
According to German website Bild, Newcastle are one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

The report states that Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen, with the Gunners currently the favourites to land the 19-year-old Englishman. Bild add that Mikel Arteta is a fan of the teenager, with Arsenal believing that he has ‘huge potential’.
Bynoe-Gittens, who was previously with the Manchester City academy, is a major talent, and looks set to be the latest young English player to seriously enhance his reputation at Borussia Dortmund.
That is why Premier League teams are looking at him now, including Newcastle.

The winger is the type of young prospect that Howe would love to work with at St James’ Park, but it appears to be Arsenal who are leading the race to sign him. They do have an advantage, as Bynoe-Gittens is represented by the same agency as Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah.
That could help Arsenal secure his services, although he has just signed a new Dortmund deal to keep him in Germany until 2028.
But he will be in Newcastle later this month, when the Magpies face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. That will be a chance for Steve Nickson and co to get a closer look at him, and for fans to show him why a move to St James’ Park would be better than the Emirates.
