All of the talk about Alexander Isak potentially leaving Newcastle United is getting irritating.
The fact is that Isak is under contract at Newcastle United until the summer of 2028 and there would currently appear to be little reason to leave.
Indeed, Newcastle could soon end their long wait for a trophy when they head down to Wembley in the Carabao Cup final next month.
Furthermore, Eddie Howe’s side look on course for a deep run in the FA Cup and there’s a genuine chance to qualify for the Champions League again this season.
Barcelona have also been linked with Isak, while Liverpool were recently touted as a landing spot in a recent report.
However, for now at least, that’s all just noise. In fact, noises coming out of Isak’s camp look pretty positive right now.

Alexander Isak transfer latest after fresh Liverpool link
According to The Daily Telegraph, sources believe Isak will not be agitating for a move away this summer regardless of what happens in talks over a potentially improved contract.
Newcastle reportedly believe they can ward off any interest in the striker in the short and medium term, which is promising to hear.
Senior figures at St James’ Park are thought to have been annoyed about the constant suggestions their star player will leave and sources stress Isak is happy on Tyneside.
As it stands, it seems there is little reason to fear Isak will push for a move – albeit there is thought to be an acceptance that qualifying for the Champions League will improve Newcastle’s chances of keep him.
Newcastle United have formed a plan to keep Alexander Isak
The striker certainly deserves a new deal. Such has been the level of his form this season, Isak has been hailed as “world class”.
Geordie Boot Boys has been told that there is a possibility that Newcastle could increase Isak’s wages to around the £200k-per-week mark in order to get him to stay long-term.
While Bruno Guimaraes is currently Newcastle’s highest-earning player, breaking the bank on Isak makes sense.
It would surely be almost impossible to replace a striker of such calibre, no matter how much money they bank in the way of a potential transfer fee.
