Martin Dubravka is not the only player set to leave Newcastle United.

The Magpies are currently focusing on outgoings in the January transfer window, with Martin Dubravka set to join Al-Shabab.

It has been claimed in Saudi Arabia that a move from Newcastle United is completed, with official confirmation on the horizon.

It will be sad to see Martin Dubravka go, especially given how well he has done in recent weeks. The Magpies have won seven games in a row, with Dubravka starting each of them.

But seven years after arriving on Tyneside, it looks like the Slovakian’s Toon career is coming to an end.

And the same goes for Isaac Hayden, another long-serving Newcastle United player.

He signed for the Magpies in 2016, and it has been claimed that Newcastle will loan Hayden out this month.

That now appears to be close, with BBC Radio Solent Sport reporting that Hayden is set to join Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season.

Hayden has been told to leave Newcastle United

It has been a difficult few months for Hayden.

The 29-year-old failed to secure a summer exit from St James’ Park, which means he has gone months without competitive football.

Hayden has played for the Newcastle Under-21s, but a player of his calibre and experience needs to be getting regular minutes at senior level.

This has coincided with Hayden declaring his international allegiance for Jamaica and making his debut for the Reggae Boyz. They are managed by Steve McClaren, the former Newcastle United boss.

McClaren has encouraged Hayden to leave Newcastle in January, and that now looks set to happen.

He is on his way to Portsmouth, where he will play alongside former Toon teammate Matt Ritchie. Pompey are currently 21st in the Championship, fighting to avoid relegation.
