According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, Newcastle and Brighton have both made contact with Udinese over a move for midfielder Arthur Atta.
The 23-year-old is a French U20 international who is capable of playing in a central midfield role or in a more attacking position. For their part, Udinese are said to want around £34.6million.
Chelsea interested in Newcastle United target Jarrod Bowen
Jarrod Bowen is one of the names linked with Newcastle this summer, although they are not alone in reportedly being interested in the West Ham star.
Quite whether or not Bowen is the profile of player that Newcastle should be looking to target this summer is up for debate.
Still, that might not matter if he goes elsewhere. According to The Independent, Chelsea are interested in the England international and believe he could cost around £40million.
