Two defenders who have been linked with Newcastle United are reportedly now on Southampton’s radar.
According to The Athletic, the Saints are looking to replace Jannik Vestergaard.

The Denmark international recently left to join Leicester City in a £15 million move (The Athletic).
Ralph Hasenhuttl is keen to get someone in, and he appears to be interested in a couple of players Newcastle have supposedly shown interested in.
Apparently they like Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham, and could also move for Liverpool defender Nat Phillips on loan.
Adarabioyo had been available for £10 million this summer due to a relegation clause in his contract.

But that clause is said to have expired now.
It’s explained several Premier League sides have expressed their interest in the player.
Newcastle were said to admire Tosin back in May.
The Magpies have also been linked with Reds centre-back Phillips in June.
Newcastle would be fools to let Tosin go begging
Southampton’s interest in Tosin in particular is frustrating.
A move to St. Mary’s could well really appeal to him given he’d likely get lots of minutes following Vestergaard’s departure.
It’s also not far for him to go from Fulham.

Newcastle have got to make some inquiries. Time is really running out in the summer window and a new central defender is a must.
An athletic, ball-playing defender like Tosin really would be a fantastic addition.
