Newcastle United have seemingly been joined in the hunt by Aston Villa for midfielder Pape Sarr.
According to RMC Sport journalist Joris Crolbois, the Midlands club are ‘the most enterprising club’ to sign the teenager this summer.

But he adds that other European clubs are showing interest as well.
Sarr was reported to be one of two players on Newcastle’s radar back in April, the other being Boubakar Kouyate.
Villa’s interest comes after they agreed a deal to sign Emi Buendia from Norwich City for £33 million, rising to £40 million (Sky Sports).
There were then also reports they wanted James Ward-Prowes from Southampton (Guardian).
Sarr is considered one of the brightest young talents in France.
He has already been compared to his fellow Senegal international Sadio Mane by national team coach Aliou Cisse (WiW Sport).
Villa showing the way
How nice it must be to support a club that shows a bit of ambition.
Villa look like they mean business in the transfer market this summer, and are very much setting an example to clubs like Newcastle.

Sarr is a player with huge potential, and the Mane comparisons are exciting.
Newcastle will potentially have to act fast from here on in if they have any interest in signing him.
