Newcastle United are one of three Premier League clubs linked with signing Julian Brandt this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund playmaker has multiple clubs chasing his signature, one of which appears to be Newcastle.
A report from Bild claims that Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in bringing Brandt to the Premier League next season. However, he might have the chance to move to Italy too, with Napoli also keen.
While the chance to play for Luciano Spalletti in Naples must be massively appealing, the three Premier League teams will feel like they have a major advantage in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
Julian Brandt fancies Premier League transfer
Bild add that Brandt is a fan of English football and is interested in a move to the Premier League at some point in his career.

That could present Newcastle with an opportunity, as they ponder a move for the £22million midfielder ahead of a campaign that could include Champions League football.
Eddie Howe’s side are currently third in the table, and have a good chance of qualifying for Europe’s elite competition. That would certainly boost Newcastle’s chance of tempting Brandt to Tyneside rather than a move to one of the London clubs.
He would add versatility to Newcastle’s attack
Newcastle are looking for attacking reinforcements ahead of next season, while Howe always values versatile players who can operate in multiple positions.
That is why talk of a move for Brandt makes sense. He can play on the left, right or through the middle as an attacking midfielder. He is likely considered an alternative to Toon target James Maddison, who also operates in those positions.
Brandt and Maddison are actually having very similar seasons. The former has 14 goal contributions, while the latter has one more with 15 goal contributions. However, Brandt has actually played 10 more games than Maddison.
Regardless, it is good to see Newcastle being linked with alternatives, as it may prove to be very difficult to sign the England international this summer, especially given his potential wage demands.
