Newcastle United want to sign a centre-back this summer, and have cast their eye over Fikayo Tomori.
The AC Milan defender is being linked with a move to the Premier League, and it appears that Newcastle could suddenly be in the conversation.
That is because Toon scouts have been to watch Tomori during a recent trip to Italy.

According to 90min, Newcastle scouts were at Roma vs AC Milan on Saturday. It has been claimed that they were looking at Roma’s number nine Tammy Abraham.
However, the report adds that Toon officials were also paying close attention to the defender he was up against – Fikayo Tomori. They won’t have seen much of the 25-year-old, however, as he was forced off at half time with an injury.
90min state that representatives from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United were also watching the England international ahead of potentially making a move this summer.
And all those clubs could be in with a chance of bringing Tomori back to England.
He is keen to play in the Premier League again
The report from 90min also states that a Premier League move could appeal to Tomori. They believe that he is interested in returning to England to boost his chance of playing regularly for the Three Lions.
He has three caps for his country, but has been ignored time and time again despite his fantastic form in Serie A.
Tomori took a real risk when he joined AC Milan two years ago. He initially signed on loan, then the deal was made permanent for £25million.
The decision was lauded by Rio Ferdinand, who called him ‘very brave‘ for leaving Chelsea and taking his talents abroad. It is a decision that has paid off too, with Tomori winning Serie A and now preparing to compete in the Champions League semi finals.
But his international hopes have been hindered, and that could open the door for him to return to England this summer.
