Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Bamba Dieng once again.
That’s according to 90min, who claim the Magpies are one of multiple Premier League teams showing an interest in the Marseille forward.
The other teams named are West Ham United, Leeds United, Everton, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers. 90min add that Dieng also has interest from Spain and Germany.
The 22-year-old isn’t short of suitors, and this is actually the second transfer window in a row that we’ve been linked with the Senegalese ace.

Newcastle were interested in Dieng in January
Eddie Howe wanted attacking reinforcements in January, and his side were linked with Dieng. Sky Sports claimed that Newcastle were offered the chance to sign him for just £12.5million.
Reports in France later claimed that the Magpies were interested, but we felt that he would be a risk. He was young and unproven, and we needed players who could guarantee us survival.
Newcastle didn’t make a move in the end, and were able to avoid relegation comfortably.

Now Dieng is linked again and while he is still young, a move would be less of a risk. We are in a position where a gamble on someone like him is effectively less of a gamble.
However, we will face competition if we decide to make a move. That will appeal to Marseille, who no doubt want a bidding war for a player they have decided they no longer need.
AFCON champion who can play anywhere across the front
If Newcastle do decide to sign Dieng, they will be bringing in an Africa Cup of Nations winner.

The youngster was part of the Senegal squad that won the cup at the start of the year, beating Egypt on penalties. Dieng scored in the shootout, with the result leaving Liverpool hero Mo Salah in tears.
It came in the middle of a decent season at Marseille, where Dieng scored seven Ligue 1 goals.
He predominantly plays through the middle, but can also operate out wide. That might appeal to Eddie Howe, who is yet to add any attacking reinforcements to his squad.
Dieng was a risk in January, but could be a risk worth taking now.
