Newcastle United and Leicester are reportedly interested in signing Arnaud Kalimuendo.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who claim the 20-year-old striker’s PSG future is in doubt.
Kalimuendo is currently on loan at Lens, spending back-to-back seasons with the Ligue 1 side temporarily.
He’s played four times for the PSG first-team, but has found success away from the Parc des Princes.
The youngster wants to extend his stay at PSG, with Foot Mercato claiming that talks are planned between the player and the club.

Then it will be up to PSG to either give Kalimeundo a chance or sell him on for a profit. If they decide to do the latter, Newcastle are waiting in the wings with Leicester.
Arnaud Kalimuendo could be an astute signing for Newcastle
While he may want to fight for his place at PSG, there’s no guarantee that Kalimuendo will get the minutes he craves. This is PSG, a team whose frontline consists of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Yes, the latter could leave this summer, but it is still going to be very tough for Kalimuendo to force his way into the PSG starting XI.
He’s certainly impressed in Ligue 1 over the past couple of seasons. Last season he bagged seven goals in 28 league appearances. This season he’s done even better, currently boasting 10 goals in 26 Ligue 1 games.

Those are really impressive numbers given his age. He’s got more goals than Callum Wilson this season, who got six before being struck down with injury. He’s also got more than Chris Wood, whose combined tally with Burnley and Newcastle is five in the Premier League.
To have just one goal less than two players who cost a combined £55million is impressive for someone who’s just 20-years-old.
With talk that Newcastle could sign a striker this summer, it will be interesting to see which route we go down. Will he get a big name who is proven at the top? Or will it be a youngster who can develop at SJP alongside the strikers we already have?
If we decide to go for the latter, Kalimuendo could be an astute addition.
