Ryan Fraser is reportedly frustrated at Newcastle United right now, and is going to seek a move away from St James’ Park next month.
That is according to the Telegraph, who claim that the Magpies will allow the 28-year-old to leave the club when the transfer window opens.
Newcastle are willing to listen to offers for the winger, who has not had the Toon career he expected.
Fraser arrived on a free in the summer of 2020, signed by Steve Bruce after a controversial end to his time at Bournemouth.
Despite the way he left the Cherries, Fraser looked like a great addition. He had proven he can create goals in the Premier League, and had a great understanding with Callum Wilson, who also joined that summer.

A free agent with Premier League experience. It looked like an absolute no brainer. An easy win for Bruce.
However, that’s not what happened. Injuries and fitness hindered his start to life on Tyneside, while he also played a lot of minutes out of position. Combine all of this with the mental rigours of lockdown and it was a tough period for Fraser.
Luckily things improved under Eddie Howe, and he was playing some brilliant football in a black and white shirt at the start of 2022. Fraser had excellent chemistry with Kieran Trippier down the right, and finally looked settled in his new surroundings.
But now he has lost his place in the side, with Miguel Almiron playing the best football of his career. Fraser has only started three Premier League games this season, and it looks like his lack of minutes will continue into 2023.
That is why he is frustrated, and why he is keen for a move away.
Two Premier League clubs interested in Ryan Fraser
It was previously claimed that Newcastle could let Fraser go, amid interest from Premier League clubs down south according to the Chronicle.
Now the Telegraph have named those clubs. They believe that Brentford and Southampton are both interested in signing Fraser in January.
A move to either of those clubs would surely appeal, as it would allow Fraser to continue playing in the top flight.
Whether they are keen on a loan move or a permanent deal remains to be seen. A permanent move would be better, as it would fully allow Fraser to get his career back on track.
It is a shame that his time at Newcastle has not gone to plan. But with standards rising and new players signing, it is probably for the best that Fraser moves now.
Hopefully he gets the move he wants in January, and can start playing regular football once again.
