Newcastle United have competition to sign Sven Botman and Renato Sanches in the form of AC Milan, with 90 min reporting the pair could cost just £40 million.
Apparently, the Rossoneri will swoop for the Lille pair as they seek to strengthen for 2022/23.

They’re said to be ‘confident’ of finalising deals for both before the summer.
Apparently, Botman would cost around £25 million, and Sanches just £15 million.
Newcastle, of course, were heavily linked with Botman in January.
The Magpies tried to land the talented 22-year-old but couldn’t convince Lille to sell, despite the player being keen.
In the end, Newcastle were only able to bring in Dan Burn, who has been fantastic so far.
There have been claims that Newcastle will attempt to move for Botman again in the summer.

Sanches was also recently linked with a move to St. James’ Park. Tuttojuve said that the Magpies were in the race along with a few other clubs.
Sanches had an ill-fated spell in English football a few years ago when he went on loan to Swansea City.
He really struggled as he sought to live up to the hype that surrounded him when he made a big-money move to Bayern Munich previously.
Sanches has managed to turn things around at Lille, and would make a cracking signing for anyone at £15 million.
Newcastle should be all over Sanches and Botman at £40 million asking price
If Lille are really willing to take just £40 million for Botman and Sanches this summer then Newcastle should be absolutely all over it.
Milan may reportedly be ‘confident’ of signing the pair. But they do not have the financial might of Newcastle.

They are a massive club. And they could be Serie A champions come the end of the season.
But the Newcastle project is undeniably exciting – even Botman himself has suggested that.
Both of these players would be absolutely superb additions. To get both for around £40 million would just a no-brainer.
