Newcastle United have learned how much they might need to offer to prise Marcos Senesi away from Feyenoord this summer.
The 24-year-old could potentially be leaving the Dutch giants at the end of the current campaign.

The central defender will only have a year left on his contract. That means a sale could well be on the cards before the player’s value drops further.
The player’s agent Henk Timmer recently spoke to Voetbal Primeur, and revealed a price range for potential suitors ahead of the summer transfer window.
He said: “He still has one year left on his contract, so €20 million is not something Feyenoord will achieve.
“If you are between €12-15 million (£10-£12.5 million), you are doing very well.”
Senesi has been with Feyenoord since 2019, when he signed from San Lorenzo on a four-year contract.

So far, he has made 99 appearances for the club. And last term, he was awarded the Eredivisie Goal of the Year award for his stunning bicycle kick against Den Haag.
Newcastle were linked with a move for Senesi during the January transfer window (De Telegraaf).
Newcastle were apparently willing to pay around £17 million (ELF Voetbal). Ultimately, a move did not materialise with Dan Burn being the only centre-back to join the Magpies.
The club will undoubtedly seek to add more central defenders in the summer. It remains to be seen if the club will make a real go of signing Senesi, who carries the nickname ‘The Gladiator’.
Newcastle will have time to scour the market and may put Marcos Senesi on the backburner
It will be very interesting to see if Senesi is someone Newcastle look at.
Arguably though, the first left-footed central defender Newcastle are going to go after this summer will be Sven Botman. If the club survive, of course.

Amanda Staveley recently stated Botman was indeed a target for the club. And that the player is still keen to join. But there could potentially be competition from Tottenham Hotspur.
Senesi could be a good addition for Newcastle.
That said, the club’s new owners will have much more time to get deals done in the summer. It might just be they set their sights on higher profile names.
