The Hugo Ekitike saga could be about to start all over again almost a year after he snubbed a transfer to Newcastle United.
Ekitike signed for Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the season, despite intense interest from the Magpies.
Eddie Howe wanted to bring the forward to Newcastle, with Dan Ashworth agreeing a fee of £26million with Stade Reims.
However, the deal would collapse over personal terms, with Ekitike instead joining Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar in the French capital.
The way he conducted himself did not go down well with Toon fans, who have watched on with joy as the youngster struggles to make an impression in a PSG shirt.

However, his Parisian woes could now hand Newcastle a fresh chance to sign the man who has already rejected the Magpies twice in his short career.
PSG want rid of Hugo Ekitike with Newcastle keen
According to L’Equipe, PSG plan to get rid of Ekitike this summer. They have decided that his future lies elsewhere, and could loan him out with an option to buy.
That could alert Newcastle, who L’Equipe believe are still interested in the ‘special‘ Frenchman.
The Magpies are looking to sign attacking players this summer, and the same qualities that tempted Howe to Ekitike in the first place could convince him to make a fresh move.

It would be a controversial one given the way last summer went. For a long time it looked like he was heading to St James’ Park, only for the deal to collapse in embarrassing fashion.
Ekitike has since struggled, scoring four goals and providing three assists. Minutes have been hard to come by at PSG, which is why it always looked like a risk to go there.
Now he looks set to be on the move again, with Newcastle potentially getting another chance to sign a player who has said no twice.
He would have to work incredibly hard to win Toon fans over, but the Newcastle hierarchy must see something in him. That is why they tried to sign him in January 2022, and then again that summer.
This is one rumour that is worth keeping an eye on.
