Newcastle United target Callum Hudson-Odoi looks set to leave Chelsea on loan this summer.
That’s according to Evening Standard reporter Nizaar Kinsella, who states that interest in the 21-year-old has ‘intensified in the last 24 hours’.
The winger has been linked with a move to St James’ Park, with Eddie Howe keen to add another attacking option to his side. Hudson-Odoi fits the profile of what Newcastle want, but it looks like there is a lot of competition for his signature.

But no matter where he goes, it looks certain that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi was set to play for the Chelsea youngsters
After not making the bench for the opening game of the season, Hudson-Odoi was at least named as a substitute against Tottenham.
But while Chelsea and Spurs played out a 2-2 draw in front of Toon owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, Hudson-Odoi watched on from the bench.
Thomas Tuchel didn’t turn to him, instead bringing on other Newcastle targets Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher.

After not playing on Sunday, Hudson-Odoi was in line to get some minutes tonight. Kinsella stated that he had been called up to the Chelsea development squad to play against Fulham this evening.
However, that is no longer the case. Kinsella has since stated that Hudson-Odoi is no longer expected to feature after interest in his signature stepped up.
The fact that he’s been withdrawn is interesting. It suggests that a transfer is on the horizon. A deal might be imminent which is why he can’t play, or they don’t want to risk an injury which would ruin his chances of a move.
Kinsella adds that Hudson-Odoi has some ‘good offers’ and is likely going to leave Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season.
Are Newcastle one of the teams with an offer on the table? Hopefully, because we desperately need to see some positive movement in the transfer market.
The Magpies haven’t made a single senior signing since Sven Botman joined the club. Since then we’ve been trying to land attacking reinforcements but have so far been unable to.
Hudson-Odoi would be a welcome addition. He’s a winger who can play on both flanks. And he has a point to prove after being left in the cold by Chelsea.
Hopefully Staveley and Ghodoussi’s trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday helps bring Hudson-Odoi to Newcastle.
