Midfielder Hamza Choudhury is reportedly ready to push for a loan move to Newcastle United.

The Northern Echo have reported the 23-year-old is still a target for the Magpies.

Choudhury was heavily linked with a move to St. James’ Park during the last transfer window.

Him moving was dependent on Leicester City securing a replacement, which they ultimately couldn’t do.

In the end, Newcastle survived with relative ease, but Steve Bruce seemingly still desires Choudhury to bolster his midfield.

And the player is keen to depart the King Power.

He’s currently quite far down in the pecking order, and the Foxes have already signed Boubakary Soumare this summer.

The Northern Echo say sources have indicated to them that Choudhury has instructed his representatives to find him a temporary move.

Newcastle are aware of the situation.

However, discussions will only take place once Newcastle know where they stand with Joe Willock.

Bruce to finally get his man?

Choudhury is clearly someone Bruce really likes.

It seems the player is very ready to embark on a new chapter, with minutes looking difficult to come by at Leicester.

The player being ready to push for a move will hopefully mean some movement on this in the coming days.

One gets the feeling that Joe Willock completing a move back will maybe just get the ball rolling on other deals.
