Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has reportedly rejected a proposal from Newcastle United.
TMW have claimed the Magpies put forth a three-and-a-half year contract offer worth €8 million per season to the striker, which equates to around £128,000-a-week.

Lacazette currently has just over five months left to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
There is potential for him to depart the club this window.
Arsenal may not wish to lose him on a free transfer.
But it seems Lacazette doesn’t want to join Newcastle, who have offered wages that are less (by £54,000-a-week) than what he earns at Arsenal right now (£182,000-a-week, Spotrac).
TMW report that the former Lyon star doesn’t not wish to involve himself in a relegation battle.
Arsenal, of course, are currently battling to finish in the top four.

So it seems Newcastle will now need to focus their attention elsewhere.
The Magpies successfully completed a move for Chris Wood last week, but Eddie Howe is thought to want to bring in another striker on top of the New Zealand international.
Before anything else though, Newcastle desperately need to bring in a new centre-back.
Heavy speculation continues about Diego Carlos, and it seems the Sevilla man is keen to join.
Failure to land Alexandre Lacazette is a shame for Newcastle, as Frenchman rejects Toon proposal
It was probably never too likely to happen in all honesty.
But Lacazette, who has scored 70 goals for Arsenal – would potentially have made for a great signing for Newcastle. Some fans certainly got behind the idea when he was first linked back in October.
He is obviously hugely experienced. That is something Newcastle need to be putting big emphasis on when it comes to their recruiting this month.

Hopefully, Newcastle can recover from this setback and pull something out of the back before the end of the month.
Wood is obviously in now, but the club could probably do with another option given Callum Wilson’s injury problems.
