Newcastle United are reportedly steaming ahead with their interest in Monaco’s centre-back Axel Disasi having agreed terms with the 25-year-old.
The latest news surrounding Axel Disasi and Newcastle is that a contract has been offered to the Frenchman after it was reported last week that terms had been agreed.
According to Foot Mercato Newcastle have made a contractual offer to Disasi but are yet to agree terms with Monaco.
Newcastle now know what it will cost to land Axel Disasi
It sounds like Newcastle must be confident that they have the required funds to make the deal happen if they’ve already agreed terms with Disasi himself.

Foot Mercato believe that Monaco will want more than €40million (£34million) for the player they recruited for just £11million in 2020.
A quick glance at his FBref stats for last season will show that even at £34million Newcastle be stealing Disasi away from Monaco.
Manchester United remain interested in the 25-year-old defender
Although there some slight red flags when it comes to tackling and clearances, especially given that he’s a centre-back, but everything else he’s right up the top end of the metrics.

After being described as ‘dominant‘ in 2020 while playing for Stade Reims he’s gone on to live up to his promise in Ligue 1 with Monaco and it looks like he’ll now be given the chance to prove himself in the Premier League.
Manchester United remain keen on Disasi but it’s thought that they won’t make a move until they shift on a couple of players which gives Newcastle the advantage to kick on and get this one done.
