Newcastle United have learned the asking price for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The French midfielder is supposedly on the Magpies’ radar ahead of the January transfer window.

Calciomercato have claimed the Serie A giants are considering letting Rabiot depart.

That’s despite him making 11 appearances so far this term.

Calciomercato provide details as to the potential cost of the player.

They claim Juve value the maestro at around €15 million/£13 million.

Since they landed Rabiot on a free transfer, selling for such an amount would still land Juve a tidy profit.

Rabiot’s contract at the Allianz Stadium does not run out until the summer of 2023.

With that in mind, £13 million is a very reasonable asking price for potential suitors.

Eddie Howe could do a lot worse than to snap up Rabiot as his first signing as Newcastle manager.

Howe showed at Bournemouth that he likes to play possession football.

Rabiot is a midfield player known for his passing ability, and dictating the tempo of games.

He can also surge forwards from deeper positions, making him a really useful player.

The star is also left-footed, which is good for balance. At the moment, the Magpies only have one left-footed player who isn’t a defender – Miguel Almiron.

Furthermore, Rabiot, 26, is highly experienced having racked up over 300 appearances in spells at Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Such an asking price for Rabiot really should be a huge temptation for the Magpies.
