Newcastle United need to be in the market for a new right winger this summer.

Miguel Almiron has done well on that flank for Eddie Howe, but the summer transfer window is the time for Newcastle United to bring in an upgrade. If the club wants to kick on to the next level then they need to improve in that department.

But finding someone will not be easy, nor will it be cheap. Eddie Howe will be keen to sign someone who can hit the ground running in the Premier League, as it can always take arrivals from abroad a bit of time to settle in.

And that is why Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto could be a decent option for the Magpies ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United could be a potential destination for Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto this summer.

They state that Manchester United have been discussing a move for the 23-year-old, while Manchester City and Arsenal are also mentioned as possible suitors.

The Daily Mail add that a move away from Molineux for Neto is currently anticipated.

He would be an amazing signing for Newcastle this summer

Neto would be some signing for Newcastle United.

The Portuguese winger is absolutely rapid, while he has proven that he has got end product too. The £18million man has scored three goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions this season, with eight of those assists coming in the Premier League.

That is an impressive statistic, with Kieran Trippier one of just two players to have registered more assists than Neto in English football’s top flight this season. The Toon right-back got his 10th of the season on Saturday when he set up Bruno Guimaraes against Nottingham Forest.

Neto’s numbers would probably be even better had he not missed two months of action with a hamstring injury – which he actually sustained against Newcastle at Molineux back in October.

But it has been a blistering season for Neto so far, and he has been described as ‘absolutely incredible‘ by his manager Gary O’Neil.

He is young and exciting, while he has plenty of Premier League experience. Neto would be an amazing signing for Newcastle, so it is interesting to hear that St James’ Park could be a possible destination this summer.
