Newcastle United are scouring the globe for first-team ready players and stars of the future, but in Arda Guler they could get both.
The 18-year-old is a man in demand after a breakthrough season in Turkey, with Newcastle one of multiple clubs keen to secure his signature.
The Magpies’ interest in Guler has been reported for a few months now, with stories claiming that Toon officials have held talks with the teenager’s representatives about a move from Fenerbahce to Newcastle United.
There has been a lot of speculation about Guler heading to St James’ Park, but there is now a chance that he could stay where he is. Fenerbahce are reportedly trying to get the youngster to sign a new contract with the Turkish club.
Newcastle huge fans of Arda Guler as Fenerbahce plan new deal
According to TeamTalk, Fenerbahce are hoping they can convince Guler to stay with them for at least one more season.

The report adds that Newcastle are huge fans of the attacking midfielder and have been scouting him for months. He is also attracting interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, as well as major clubs from across Europe.
Newcastle will be keen to win the race for the ‘Turkish Messi’ – especially before he puts pen to paper on a new contract. That is because Guler’s current deal includes a release clause of £15million.
For that kind of money, Newcastle could get themselves a bargain for a player who has been tipped to become a ‘superstar‘ in the coming years.

St James’ Park could be the perfect place for him to continue his development, at a club that is still developing itself. Newcastle want to go to the top, and that looks to be where Guler is heading too.
But Fenerbahce see it differently, and want to keep hold of their prized possession. A new contract would keep Guler in Turkey for at least one more year, and see his release clause increase significantly.
If Newcastle want a bargain, they need to push now.
