Newcastle United are reportedly facing competition for striker Sasa Kalajdzic from Chelsea.
The Athletic claim the Blues are now looking at the Austria international, who impressed at the Euros this summer.

It’s explained no approach has yet been made by the Champions League winners.
Kalajdzic’s club Stuttgart would apparently take a lot of persuading to sell.
Supposedly they have already amassed £34 million in player sales this summer, putting them in a stronger position over star man Kalajdzic, who got 17 goals last term.

They would apparently demand a similar fee to that £34 million for the 24-year-old.
Newcastle were linked with Kalajdzic back in March, with TuttoJuve claiming he was a Magpies target.
Kalajdzic surely a non-starter
Newcastle would have struggled to sign Kalajdzic anyway.
But the presence of Chelsea makes any potential transfer even more difficult.
Even if Newcastle somehow were able to raise the cash to be able to afford Kalajdzic, the Blues are a hugely attractive proposition.

Newcastle still need some better backup for Wilson.
And it seems the club will definitely have to look elsewhere.
