Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, as are fellow Premier League side Everton.
According to TuttoJuve, the 23-year-old has emerged as a target for the Magpies and the Toffees, as well Italian giants Juventus and also German side RB Leipzig.
Kalajdzic is catching the eye over in the Bundesliga right now having scored 13 goals in 24 games.
The star is notable for how much of a handful he is. Standing at a mighty 6ft 5in, he is currently the tallest player in the German top-flight (via Bundesliga official).
Kalajdzic is in a rich vein of form at present – he’s scored in every league game of Stuttgart’s since January 29 (seven games, eight goals), and is definitely attracting attention for the way he is able to dominate defenders.
It’s claimed that Kalajdzic – who has two caps for the Austria national team – is valued at around £17 million by the Bundesliga side.
Newcastle’s need for a new striker is well documented, with Dwight Gayle and Andy Carroll both out of contract at the end of the season.
Kalajdzic would be a frightening addition
Newcastle would need to stay up to stand any real chance of signing Kalajdzic, and he could be well worth pursuing if the club manage to do that.
Potentially, he could be the ideal player to work with Callum Wilson.
Not only does he score goals, Kalajdzic is quite the team player, as evidenced by his haul of five assists for Stuttgart and 12 in 35 games for Austrian outfit FC Admira Wacker Mödling.
