Bayern Munich now turn to Lewis Hall after Anthony Gordon snub as Newcastle United star eyed

Newcastle United have already been raided by a European giant this summer and that could continue in regard to Lewis Hall.

Earlier this week, Newcastle United agreed a £69.3million deal to sell Anthony Gordon to Barcelona despite his strong links with Bayern Munich.

While the hope will be that selling Gordon so quickly helps Newcastle avoid cashing in on more players, Hall is another leading Toon player to have been tipped to leave the club.

Indeed, Hall has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but it seems Bayern are also keen.

Bayern Munich interested in signing Lewis Hall

Leading German football expert Christian Falk told the BILD Podcast: “We’ve heard Lewis Hall, left-back, young Englishman from Newcastle, he might also be in their scouting department now.

“Yes, so they’re also looking at that, he’s apparently on their list.”

It’s been a tough year but name YOUR player of the season and share why 👇

Clearly, Hall’s excellent form for Newcastle during the 2025/26 season was always likely to attract interest.

It is frankly no surprise that teams like Bayern would be interested in the left-back, who was desperately unlucky to have missed out on England’s World Cup squad.

Still, hopefully selling Gordon so quickly while being open to cashing in on others keeps the 21-year-old on Tyneside for at least another season.

Frankly, it’s imperative that Newcastle keep Hall. Despite dropping out of the team towards the end of the season, the former Chelsea youngster was one of few Newcastle players to have emerged from a bruising campaign with any real credit.

Perhaps Hall’s future will one day lie away from Newcastle. It would be a touch ambitious to suggest he will genuinely remain at the club for his whole career, given how early he is into it.

Still, this summer is not the time to sell when so many other key players could be departing. Newcastle do need a changing of the guard this summer, but they cannot sell every single one of their best players.

Hall is exactly the kind of talent the club should be building around for years to come.
