Newcastle United star Alexander Isak made an awful lot of headlines recently.
Indeed, despite publicly speaking about how happy he is at Newcastle, Isak drew admirers from Chelsea.
While Eddie Howe was reportedly telling owners PIF not to sell the striker, hailed as having a “frightening” level of ability by teammate Kieran Trippier, the links did not stop.

For their part, the Blues are understood to have decided any move for the 24-year-old was just going to be too expensive, although there where then reports suggesting they were prepared to offer some players in part-exchange.
Ultimately, Isak remains a Newcastle player – for now at least.
While the nature of a transfer window being open means there is still some possibility a team could come in and throw enough money at the club to convince them to sell, it feels as if the striker is destined to stay for another season at the very least.
With the PSR deadline having now passed, it would surely take a massive offer for an exit to happen.
