Newcastle United will have to splash the cash to sign Justin Kluivert.
The Bournemouth attacker is on the Magpies’ radar, as Newcastle United prepare to evolve their squad.
They need attacking reinforcements, and Kluivert has been discussed by Newcastle officials.
That is no surprise given how well the 25-year-old has played this season. Kluivert has got 13 goals and seven assists in all competitions this season, with four of his goal contributions coming against the Magpies.
The Dutch attacker netted a hat-trick and got an assist at St James’ Park back in January, as Bournemouth beat Newcastle 4-1.
On that day, Newcastle United officials saw exactly what Kluivert is capable of.

Newcastle United discover Justin Kluivert asking price
Given how well he is playing in red and black, Bournemouth are in a strong position to command a huge fee.
According to Caught Offside, Bournemouth are looking to receive between £42million and £46million for Kluivert this summer.
That kind of money would make him one of Newcastle’s most expensive signings ever.
Caught Offside add that Manchester United are also looking at Kluivert ahead of the summer transfer window.
Newcastle United interested in more Bournemouth players
Kluivert is not the only Bournemouth star who Newcastle United have got their eye on.
As well as attackers, the Magpies are also set to be in the market for a new centre-back.
Newcastle have been linked with Illia Zabarnyi, while Dean Huijsen is also on the Magpies’ radar.
Like Kluivert, Newcastle will need to spend big money to land either Zabarnyi or Huijsen. The former cost an initial £24million, while the latter has a release clause of £50million.
While Newcastle do want to sign Huijsen, they might be out of luck.
There is a lot of competition for the 19-year-old’s signature, while Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Huijsen may prefer a move to Spain.
