Harry Kane has heavily praised a player Newcastle United are looking at signing this summer.
England’s record goalscorer Kane played alongside Newcastle United star Dan Burn during their win over Andorra on Saturday evening.
The Bayern Munich star scored the only goal of the game on a disappointing day for Thomas Tuchel’s side, who were booed off at the break after labouring against the minnows in a World Cup qualifier.
The English national media criticised Burn for his performance against Andorra but he wasn’t the only Three Lions star to underwhelm.
Kane, however, believes Noni Madueke can offer something England need more of.

What Harry Kane said about Newcastle United transfer target Noni Madueke
According to iNews, Newcastle have considered a move for the Chelsea winger as a potential alternative to Anthony Elanga.
Newcastle have enquired about Elanga, but current club Nottingham Forest are in a strong position to demand a big fee this summer.
Chelsea value Madueke at around £29million ahead of a potential exit.
Madueke provided the assist from which Kane scored on Saturday. The England captain was impressed by his performance and suggested they need more wide players who could take people on.
“I think he was a constant threat today, obviously got the assist for the goal as well,” he said.
“We need more of that. We have amazing players, we need players who are not afraid to go one v one and if they lose the ball, who will get it again and go again. He played really well.”
Noni Madueke’s stats compared to Anthony Elanga and Jacob Murphy
Any right winger joining the club this summer will have to compete with Jacob Murphy for a starting berth.
Murphy was brilliant for Newcastle during the season just gone. Only Mohamed Salah contributed more assists (18 to 12), although Elanga was only one behind on 11.
| Stat | Jacob Murphy | Noni Madueke | Anthony Elanga |
| Goals | 8 | 7 | 6 |
| Assists | 12 | 3 | 11 |
| Shots/90 | 1.2 | 2.5 | 1.2 |
| Key passes/90 | 1.2 | 1 | 1.3 |
| Dribbes/90 | 1 | 1.4 | 0.7 |
| Tackles/90 | 0.8 | 0.8 | 0.5 |
| Interceptions/90 | 0.4 | 0.3 | 0.2 |
Of the three players, Madueke’s underlying numbers in some key attacking metrics are slightly better. Defensively, however, Murphy largely beats the other two – which is perhaps explained by the diligent demands Eddie Howe puts upon his wide players.
Clearly, Murphy cannot play every game next season, though it’s hard to imagine a scenario in which both Madueke and Elanga would be signed.
However, what’s for certain is that if any of them do arrive, they’ll need to improve their work without the ball.
