The fact that the World Cup – the first major tournament of Nick Woltemade’s career – is just around the corner is partly why he is taking a relaxed view on his situation at Newcastle United.
Indeed, reports in Germany have claimed that Woltemade is unhappy at Newcastle United, having seen what promised to be a brilliant first season with the club turn into something of a nightmare.

That stat makes me angry every time I see it 😡
There would now appear to be a very real chance that Woltemade leaves Newcastle this summer. Still, the striker himself is not going to kick up much of a fuss for the time being.
Woltemade wants no distractions before the World Cup
According to leading German outlet BILD, part of the reason why Woltemade is reasonably relaxed at this stage is because he does not want any distractions before the World Cup.
The forward is set to represent his country in the tournament this summer and is thought to be the first reserve to starting striker Kai Havertz.
How would you feel if Anthony Gordon never played for Newcastle United again?
Howe said he's looking toward the 'future' amid Gordon's links away….
It’s claimed that while his relationship with Eddie Howe has cooled, nothing will be decided until after Germany’s World Cup campaign.
They also claim that none of the clubs reportedly interested in Woltemade have contacted Newcastle.

A storm could be coming for Newcastle and Nick Woltemade
Woltemade has created something of a culture war among Newcastle fans during his first season at the club.
There are some who believe he’s a misunderstood genius treated harshly by Howe. Others, meanwhile, think that he’s just not suited to life in the Premier League.
As ever, the truth probably lies somewhere in between.
Still, such is the divisive nature of his place in the squad right now, there will be debate no matter what Newcastle decide to do with him in the transfer window.
