An exciting summer could lie ahead for Newcastle United.
Having failed to sign players over the last few transfer windows due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), it seems that could now change for Newcastle United.
Newcastle sources are confident about their PSR position and Eddie Howe’s side could have Champions League football on offer next season, too.
The Newcastle United manager needs to see his side beat Everton on the final day of the Premier League season in order to qualify. If they do that, perhaps fans can get excited about the summer transfer window under owners PIF again.
Newcastle are reportedly set to hold talks with Liam Delap and Howe has called on the Newcastle United owners to strike quickly in the transfer market.

Eddie Howe makes PIF demand as Newcastle United get Liam Delap boost
Ipswich have confirmed Delap has held talks with other clubs, with Newcastle among those said to be keen.
While it remains to be seen if the club can actually land Delap ahead of reported competition from Everton, Manchester United and Chelsea, the fact the wheels are already in motion is promising.
Howe wants Newcastle to take advantage of the PSR situation at rival clubs and, on Friday, he made another demand of PIF.
During his pre-match press conference, Howe called on the owners to strike quickly this summer.
“My mindset is always the same when you come to this time of year,” he said.
“You want to act quickly because usually the best available options will move quite quickly.
“If you’re too late to react, you can miss out on potential transfers that could make the difference.”
The latest on Newcastle United’s summer transfer budget
Clearly, much will depend on what happens on Sunday. If Newcastle do not qualify for the Champions League, the mood will be very low heading into the summer.
That may feel harsh after the team ended their trophy drought earlier this season, but these are the high standards to which ambitious clubs are held.
Newcastle’s summer transfer budget could be £150million, while it’s not thought that they need to sell any of their key players.
All of that is very promising to hear indeed, though it remains to be seen how much not qualifying for the Champions League would impact it.
