Newcastle have been looking for a new central defender all month and Dan Burn looks set to be the man.
A fee was agreed with Brighton last week after a busy January trying to get a defensive target over the line.
And now Sky Sports have reported that Burn has agreed personal terms with the club as his move edges closer to completion.

Newcastle have the funds there to pay good wages and it seems that Burn has happily agreed a deal to come back to the north east.
It is clear that Burn was not Newcastle’s first choice but Eddie Howe looks set to getting a man with great Premier League experience.
That should mean he does not need much time to hit the ground running and help Newcastle pull clear of relegation danger.

Newcastle fans know what they are getting with Burn.
He impressed Alan Shearer in October, when Burn was a standout performer in the Brighton’s 0-0 draw with Norwich City. And Shearer was impressed enough to include him in his Team of the Week that week.
He said of him (via Premier League): “Burn has taken very well to his role in Brighton & Hove Albion’s back three. He made some crucial last-ditch tackles in the goalless draw with Norwich City.”
Burn was lauded as being ‘incredible’ by Seagulls boss Graham Potter last season, after his performance in the clean sheet at Anfield.
If he can help Newcastle tighten up, he will represent money well spent and his arrival seems to be edging closer.
