Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is reportedly a target for Newcastle as they enter a new era.
The Telegraph claim that the Magpies are among a host of Premier League clubs tracking the England international.
The new owners are apparently impressed by Calvert-Lewin and he would be a target regardless of who the new manager is.
Arsenal, the Manchester clubs and at least one Bundesliga outfit are also apparently keen on Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin’s record against Newcastle
Calvert-Lewin has tormented Newcastle on more than one occasion in recent times.
He has scored five in his past five games against the Magpies, as per Transfermarkt.
Those matches have only produced one Everton win though, with Newcastle claiming three victories.
A partnership of Calvert-Lewin and Callum Wilson would be dangerous for any new manager in the dugout at St James’ Park.

Shearer a fan
Calvert-Lewin is a towering number nine and the Telegraph report even mentions Newcastle’s stereotypical fondness for a line-leading hitman.
Alan Shearer is the most legendary of former Magpies strikers and he is a fan of Calvert-Lewin.
In October 2020, Shearer raved about Calvert-Lewin’s Merseyside derby header in a 2-2 draw.
There was also praise for the ‘aggressive’ and ‘brilliant’ Calvert-Lewin in Shearer’s Athletic column.
