Alexander Isak wants to leave Newcastle United, and the worrying thing is, other players could perhaps follow suit.
Isak is unhappy with Newcastle’s lack of ambition and did not join the club’s pre-season tour of Asia with what has been called a “minor thigh injury”.
The striker was also disappointed he wasn’t rewarded with a new contract in 2024, having enjoyed a brilliant season during the 2023/24 campaign.
Isak then proved even better last time out and scored the winning goal as Newcastle won the Carabao Cup against Liverpool in March.
Now, Liverpool want to sign Isak and are reportedly preparing a huge offer for his services.
Sadly for the club, Isak isn’t the only member of the Newcastle United squad expressing fears over the project at St James’ Park.

Several Newcastle United players feel the same way as Alexander Isak
According to The Daily Mail, several Newcastle players are coming to doubt the project in place on Tyneside.
There have been no updates in regard to a new stadium or training ground. There are still no appointments in the CEO or sporting director roles.
It’s said that Isak isn’t alone in doubting the delivery of Newcastle’s project at boardroom level.
The Newcastle United owners must respond to Alexander Isak’s doubt
PIF need to respond in emphatic fashion.
For the first time since the takeover, there are genuine concerns about how ambitious the Newcastle United owners actually are.
They need to prove to both the players they already have and the ones they could potentially sign that Newcastle’s project is still on track.

The Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules do not help but there’s only so long they can be moaned about.
Newcastle need solutions, and quickly. They are a Champions League club again, but are having their worst summer in recent memory.
The players can hardly be blamed for doubting what’s happening. Now, it’s up to PIF to prove them wrong.
