Reported Newcastle United transfer target Adrien Rabiot has commented on his current situation, amid speculation linking him with St. James’ Park.
The midfielder is supposedly on the Magpies’ radar ahead of the January window.
It was reported earlier this week that Rabiot could be one of the first signings of the post-takeover era.
Supposedly, he would cost in the region of £13 million.
Juventus landed him on a free transfer, so they would still be making a good profit on him.
But it seems the player might not be as keen to depart, as the club are to see him move on.
When asked about his current situation by TF1, amid interest from Newcastle, Rabiot said (via Express): “I’m happy in Turin. I see my future at Juventus, of course!”
Rabiot was speaking after earning his 23rd cap for France against Kazakhstan, with Les Bleus destroying their opponents 8-0.
Rabiot was among the scorers in Paris, which was actually his first goal for his country.

It is a frustration to hear Rabiot state he is happy where he is.
It doesn’t necessarily mean he will stay put. Things can change very quickly in football.
But it does not seem as though he is about to agitate for a move away, and he is playing fairly regularly at the moment.
It is a blow – Rabiot is a brilliant player who has a great passing range and the ability to glide through the lines. Newcastle lack a player that can do both of these things really well.
It hasn’t really happened for him at Juve since he move there in 2019, but it seems like he’s keen to remain and prove himself.
