Kevin Keegan, a man many will argue saved Newcastle United.
Loved as a Newcastle player and adored as their manager, Keegan took the Magpies within touching distance of winning the Premier League title in 1996 before a heartbreaking end and an iconic rant.
Appointed in 1993, Keegan’s Newcastle squad was dubbed ‘The Entertainers’ for their exciting attacking football that very few teams could comprehend.
While his second managerial stint on Tyneside was not as memorable, Keegan is still seen as an icon by fans, and many believe St James’ Park should have a stand named after him.
