Newcastle are planning to make signing which could give them a genuinely scary attack

Newcastle United could have one of the most exciting front lines in the Premier League after news recently broke about their interest in a new attacker.

There have been suggestions that Miguel Almiron could be on his way out with Newcastle receiving interest in their winger from Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab.

While a move to the Middle East for Miggy does not appear to be on the immediate horizon, interest in Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White has suggested that Newcastle could have a new attack in the very near future.

Gibbs-White would transform Newcastle’s attack

Though his stats this season don’t exactly back up the point, Gibbs-White is one of the most exciting players to watch in the Premier League outside of your usual ‘big six’ clubs.

Since signing for the Midlands club last season for £42.5m, the 23-year-old has been arguably their most important player and has showed a real desire and hunger to get to the top.

With his ability to drive with the ball and drag his team up the pitch, Gibbs-White looks to be a very suitable replacement for Almiron and can offer a similar sort of style.

Almiron has been a very good servant for Newcastle in the last five years but at 29-years-old it may be time to cash in on the Paraguayan for a younger and arguably more improved model.

A move for Gibbs-White fits Newcastle perfectly

Since Eddie Howe came in, he’s been keen to build a squad of hard working players willing to run through brick wall for him and the team, and that’s exactly what Gibbs-White can bring.

Rarely do Newcastle look to sign players who don’t fit this mould and who are bad characters to have in the dressing room, they always do their research.

While Almiron is also the perfect candidate for the team, there comes a point where you have to also accept that your players have to be of a certain standard and quality to get to the next level.

If Howe is able to elevate Gibbs-White the same way he did with the Paraguayan and Joelinton, then Newcastle fans could be in for a real treat if he ever makes his way to St James’ Park.
