It was reported earlier this week that some Premier League clubs don’t want to sell their players to Newcastle United in January.
This would be in protest to the Saudi-backed takeover that rocked the world of football last month.
Newcastle have been linked with plenty of Premier League players since the takeover went through. And these are the kind of players we need to target as we look to move away from the relegation zone.

It’s unknown which clubs don’t want to do business with Newcastle. It could be anyone. The big boys won’t Newcastle to eventually challenge them near the top, while the bottom half teams won’t want Eddie Howe’s side to jump above them and cast their Premier League future in doubt.
However, some teams may have no choice but to do business with Newcastle United.
West Ham’s reported Tarkowski stance will aid Newcastle
It was reported by the Evening Standard that West Ham remain keen on James Tarkowski.
The 28-year-old has also been linked with Newcastle, with the Telegraph writing that he could be the new owners’ first signing in January.

While West Ham are flying right now, Newcastle are struggling. But it’s the Magpies who may have the edge in this transfer battle.
The Evening Standard report that Burnley want £20million for Tarkowski, whose contract is set to expire next summer.
January is their final time to get some money for him, but West Ham reportedly feel he is overpriced.
That’s arguably the case, but it shouldn’t put Newcastle off. They desperately need someone like Tarkowski.
And if you’re Burnley, are you really going to risk losing one of your most valuable players for nothing in the summer?

If Newcastle are the only option for Burnley, they may simply have to do a deal with Amanda Staveley and co in January.
This isn’t to say Burnley are one of the clubs who allegedly don’t want to do business with Newcastle.
But this proves that for all the reported threats, money will surely talk in January and allow Newcastle to get the players they need.
