There’s a new hero at St. James’ Park – and his name is Bruno Guimaraes.
The Brazilian was on target twice for Newcastle United on Sunday against Leicester City, with his second goal coming in the 94th minute.

The game looked set to finish 1-1, but the South American popped up to score a header after a brilliant run by Joe Willock.
Bruno had been tiring but found the energy to get into the box and convert the deflected cross from substitute Willock.
The goal was absolutely huge for Newcastle. Three more points means there is now a 12-point gap between the club and Burnley.
There is, surely, no longer any threat of going down this season.
Bruno had to be patient at first following his transfer from Lyon.

Eddie Howe was reluctant to tweak a midfield that was doing really well.
But in the last couple of months, Bruno has had more opportunities to show why he was one of the most coveted midfielders in Europe.
He has impressed each time he has taken to the field, and he is already absolutely adored by the Geordie faithful.
His first few months could not really have panned out much better.
And it’s very likely that Bruno’s rise could do wonders for the club in the transfer market this summer.
Bruno Guimaraes factor can help sell Newcastle this summer
Potentially, there will be players looking at what Bruno has done at Newcastle.
Perhaps some have been on the fence about making a move to the club.
But Bruno was a marquee name that took the plunge and made the move. Others are surely more likely to now follow suit.

He is loving life, and the fans already worship the ground he walks on. That has to be an amazing feeling for any player.
The £42 million star‘s rise at the club is something that could really sell Newcastle to the top players this summer. He is proof that it can be an exciting move to make.
